Rebecca Black Releases “My Moment” Single On July 18

Rebecca Black is preparing to invade our eardrums once again, this time with a new single titled My Moment which will be dropping on July 18.

The song tells about the singer’s sudden rise to “fame” and in a statement she says, “It’s a fairy tale story, but it happened in real life.”

The big question for many viewers will be whether or not Rebecca Black can capture the same allure her first video brought after being dubbed the “worse song of all time” by various online and offline music and media publications. According to early reports the music video for the single will include photos from her real life and video footage of Black at red carpet events and receiving an award at her junior high school.

After the release Rebecca will drop a five-track EP this August and she says her influences for the songs are Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Selena Gomez. Combine all those influences together over auto-tune and we might just have another horrible set of songs on our hands.

Black told MTV:

“My dream duet would be Justin Bieber. Even just doing something with Taylor Swift, or any of my favorite artists would be so cool.”

I’ll be personally avoiding her new songs like the plague, although I have a feeling they will pop up somewhere I am, just like a bad dream.
