Robin Thicke: But Hopefully Lyrics Not Too Thin To Win Back Paula Patton With New Song

Robin Thicke has learned the hard way that once trust is broken and a relationship is on the rocks, it’s very difficult to put it back together again. But, can a new song by Thicke (some lyrics below) do the trick?

Like Humpty Dumpty, Robin Thicke’s 14-year marriage to high school sweetheart, Paula Patton, fell off the wall in February after a series of unsavory Thicke-involved incidents, including his eye brow raising duet of his hit song, Blurred Lines, with Miley Cyrus.

Had Robin ever read Humpty Dumpty, he would have seen that even all the King’s horses and all the King’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again – Not even the very best the kingdom had to offer could repair the Egg Man!

So, in Thicke’s case, Humpty Dumpty being his marriage, he could get Dr. Phil, Judge Judy, Dr. Drew, Ellen, Jerry Springer, Wendy Williams, and even Oprah herself as all his King’s men, and even they probably wouldn’t be able to put his marriage back together again.

But Robin Thicke may not need all the king’s horses, men or even high-profile talk show hosts to help him get Paula back as Robin will reportedly be attempting to revive his marriage via the new song!

According to the Daily Mail, Robin Thicke is hoping this new song will bring Paula back to his side. Perhaps to make sure Paula has no confusion with what the song’s about, it is fittingly titled, Get Her Back. Thicke will reportedly have the opportunity to showcase the song on May 18th at the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

But will this be enough to win his high school sweetheart back? Since their separation, Thicke and Patton have been thought to be increasingly going their separate ways, but this new work by Robin indicates otherwise.

While Thicke reportedly violated other accepted rules of relationships, the episode with Miley was certainly the most public and probably humiliating for Paula, again as reported by the Daily Mail. Yeah, so that was pretty bad, and if mixed with other transgressions, Thicke’s Get Her Back better be one heck of a tune! And with that in mind, let’s check out a sampling obtained by none other than TMZ.

According to the top, inside celebrity site, some of the new song’s lyrics penned by Thicke include: “I should’ve kissed you longer / I should’ve held you stronger.”

Okay. Provided one has good looks, charisma and lots of money, not a bad start!

But TMZ obtained even more highlights that will test any resolve Paula might still have to stay away from Robin:

? “All I wanna do is make it right”
? “I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life”
? “I should’ve kissed you longer / I should’ve held you stronger / And I’ll wait for forever for you.”

But TMZ, for one, doesn’t sound real optimistic, reporting: “Robin’s other public pleas to Paula… have fallen on deaf ears.”

Either way, isn’t it the thought that counts? And despite the strife, at least this whole situation has resulted in a new song for Robin Thicke.
