[Video] Rihanna Concert Fire Forces Early End to Show
Rihanna is currently on her hottest tour yet, but things got so “heated” at her recent Loud Tour stop in Dallas that officials were forced to shut down the gig early and evacuate the audience to the nearest exits.
This weekend at the American Airlines Center, RiRi was wrapping up her hit single, ‘California King Bed,’ when a light above the stage caught fire, showering sparks and burning debris onto the smoking stage behind her.
The fire grew rapidly, but the production crew moved quickly and extinguished the flames to the screaming cheers of the 12,500 fans in attendance, none of which were injured during the blaze.
After the show the 23-year-old singer hopped on Twitter to joke about the situation, but also express her disappointment in the show’s abrupt ending.
“DALLAS!!! We set the stage on FYAH tonight!!! LITERALLY!!! I’m so pissed, I was havin so much fun wit yall too!!! I gotta come back man!!”
The tour is due to continue in Alabama before moving across to Atlanta, Long Island, Boston and Philadelphia.
