Could we see Brock Lesnar VS Daniel Bryan fight over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt at SummerSlam 2014?
In a related report by The Inquisitr , it’s rumored that Brock Lesnar’s UFC influence included demanding that Dana White have Barry White retire .
At this point Daniel Bryan is busy continuing the story line where he’s fighting against the Authority with the backing of the yes movement. The story pretty much peaked when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt at WrestleMania 30 after struggling off of the medical stretcher only to make Dave Batista tap out. So in the minds of many WWE fans he is the quintessential good guy who represents what the people want.
Brock Lesnar, on the other hand, is the perfect bad guy. The fans were absolutely shocked when Undertaker’s streak was beaten by Lesnar. The fans in general are tending to hate Brock Lesnar, proclaiming that he’s just a part-timer and should have been the one to take the streak, although other fans bring up the counter-argument that the Undertaker himself is a part-timer. Regardless, the shock of the streak ending spawned conspiracy theories that it was all accidental . There’s even reports that the referee did not know the outcome of the Undertaker VS Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania 30 . The hater parade was so bad that someone made a video where even Hitler says Brock Lesnar should not have beaten the Undertaker .
According to a report from F4WOnline via WrestlingRumors.net , it’s possible the good guy and bad guy might meet at SummerSlam 2014:
“F4WOnline is now reporting a possible supplement, which would explain Lesnar’s absence at Extreme Rules. Since Lesnar is all but confirmed to wrestle at the SummerSlam event, F4WOnline reports that this may very well mean that Lesnar appears at WWE’s marquee event in September, Night of Champions. The idea being that Lesnar would be able to continue his feud with whoever he faces at SummerSlam.”
And that “whoever” could very well be Daniel Bryan. Of course, considering how the WWE likes to play up story lines about feuds, it may be that the Beast simply interrupts the end of a match and challenges the current owner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt by slamming him through an announcer table. This would then set up the premise for Brock Lesnar’s WWE match at Night Of Champions. What do you think?
