Megan Fox was reportedly on the verge of puking while filming most of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles .
When you watch the Transformers star interact with the mutant superheroes in this summer’s action flick, remember that Fox was probably only seconds away from tossing her cookies. Megan shared this tidbit of information while promoting the movie on a recent episode of Ellen .
Since Megan Fox was just a few weeks pregnant when she began work on the project, all of that physical activity took its toll on the actress . Instead of bowing out of the film, Fox decided to stick it out like a true Hollywood trouper.
“Anyone that’s been pregnant knows your first trimester can be pretty rough and you’re nauseous all day long. I spent the whole shoot basically… on the verge of vomiting… and running and screaming,” Fox told DeGeneres.
The actress added, “(I was) running, jumping, fighting, saying things like, ‘Show me what you got, Shredder!’ All the fun things you want to do when you’re pregnant.”
Since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a huge project for Megan Fox, chances are she didn’t want to pass up a chance to star in what could become a major franchise. Considering her past few cinematic endeavors crashed and burned at the box office, Fox definitely needs a hit to stay relevant.
The Inquisitr previously reported that TMNT serves as her first collaboration with Michael Bay since her falling out with the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director. After Fox described the filmmaker’s personality as Nazi-esque, Bay famously replaced her for Transformers: Dark of the Moon .
Since Michael Bay helped Megan Fox land a role in Jonathan Liebesman’s big-budget reboot — a flick that finds Bay serving a producer — the actress famously changed her mind about the guy. After all, Fox quickly learned that biting the hand that signs her paychecks isn’t exactly the best way to operate in the Hollywood system.
She told Entertainment Weekly :
“He was one of the most lovely people that I dealt with in making this movie. I’ve always loved Michael. We’ve had our battles in the past but even when I’ve been really outspoken about difficulties we’ve had, I’ve always followed up by saying that I have a particular affinity to him. He can be very vulnerable, and he’s very likable and lovable. I’ve always been very vocal about that as well. But, sometimes we clash because we both have very willful, powerful personalities.”
Megan Fox fans can catch the actress in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on August 8.
