Julia Roberts Thinks George Clooney’s Recent Engagement Is Simply ‘Sublime’
Julia Roberts is thrilled that George Clooney is getting married.
The Ocean’s Eleven co-stars remain close friends years after they appeared on-screen together in director Steven Soderbergh’s star-studded remake. Not surprisingly, Roberts was quite thrilled to learn that the actor has decided to tie the knot with Amal Alamuddin.
During her appearance on Ellen, Julia Roberts revealed that she hasn’t met George Clooney’s main squeeze just yet. However, this didn’t stop the actress from saying nothing but positive things about the actor and his future wife.
“I think it is sublime… She is beautiful and smart and he is happy and that’s what matters to me,” Julia Roberts told DeGeneres during their recent chat.
In addition to briefly discussing Clooney’s engagement, Roberts also told the talk show host that she sports several tattoos. Although she didn’t reveal too many details about the ink to DeGeneres’ audience, she didn’t leave them completely empty-handed.
“Well, some things I can tell you the answer to and some things I’ll tell you later. I have all my children’s names and my husband’s initials,” the actress said.
Julia Roberts has definitely kept herself busy over the past few days. In addition to stopping by Ellen for an interview, the Pretty Woman alum paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live to swap curse words with fellow Steel Magnolias star Sally Field.
Although you wouldn’t think Field could hold her own in a war of expletives, Sally had absolutely no problem spitting some genuine filth during her appearance on the program. Julia tried her best to keep up with the actress, though it was obvious that she was completely out of her depth.
If you’re curious to see Julia Roberts and Sally Field toss around a series of increasingly dirty words and phrases, then pay some attention to the video embedded below. The naughty words are bleeped out, but you still might want to avoid watching this thing at work.
Julia Roberts is currently hitting the talk show circuit to help promote her upcoming HBO movie The Normal Heart. Co-starring Mark Ruffalo and Taylor Kitsch, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy’s flick tells the story of one man’s attempt to raise awareness about AIDs and HIV in New York City during the 80s. The flick debuts on May 25.
Did you catch Julia Roberts’ recent appearance on Ellen? Do you agree that George Clooney’s engagement is nothing short of “sublime”?
