Casey Anthony Expresses Desire to Be a Mom Again in Jailhouse Letters
Casey Anthony, who may walk free as soon as tomorrow after a “not guilty” verdict was returned on all charges save for misdemeanors stemming from untrue statements she made to police, wrote in jailhouse letters to an inmate friend that she hopes to one day become a mother again… or perhaps adopt.
Anthony, who is obviously highly unlikely to ever be approved as an adoptive parent, wrote to fellow inmate Robyn Adams about her wish to someday raise a child in the letters dating back to 2008 and 2009. Anthony said:
“I had a dream not too long ago that I was pregnant… It was like having Cays all over again. I’ve thought about adopting, which even sounds weird to me saying it, but there are so many children that deserve to be loved.”
Anthony wrote to Adams:
“Let’s make a deal ? let’s get pregnant together? if it’s really possible to plan it.”
Among the musings not related to motherhood that Anthony shared, she wondered whether it was vain to wish for outside comforts including shampoo, fitted underwear and acrylic nails:
“I can’t wait to get my teeth whitened and to use my regular toothbrush/toothpaste/shampoo, conditioner,” she wrote. “I still have no desire to wear heels unless the occasion calls for it. but converse, boots and REAL flipflops?Ah! And hats, regular ball caps…. Sunglasses. Underwear, that fits!… Is that vain? Should I not look forward to these things?”
Anthony continues:
“Color on my toesies and acrylic nails — yes please… I want to embrace the many joys of being a lady.”
Anthony didn’t entirely suggest life outside prison was all beauty treatments and fun- she also discussed changing her name in the letters- possibly to evade harassment after the controversial verdict.
