The Voice Results: Final Five Set After Triple Elimination
The Voice results had the internet buzzing on Tuesday night after a shocking triple elimination and one Twitter-based save set the stage for the final five.
The show on Tuesday started with host Carson Daly telling four of the remaining eight singers that they were safe based on Monday’s performances.
[WARNING: Spoilers ahead]
The four at-risk singers — Sisaundra Lewis, Audra McLaughlin, Delvin Choice, and Kat Perkins — each had a chance to keep in the game by winning the Instant Save, which is based on Twitter Vote.
It was Perkins who earned the Twitter vote, meaning that Lewis, McLaughlin, and Choice were sent packing. It was a blow to Blake Shelton’s team, which is now down to just Jake Worthington.
Team Usher is also down to one contestant, while Adam Levine still has two in the contest.
After The Voice results on Tuesday, the remaining contestants for each judge are now:
Team Shakira: Kristen Merlin
Team Adam Levine: Christina Grimmie and Kat Perkins
Team Usher: Josh Kaufman
Team Blake Shelton: Jake Worthington
The Voice results from Tuesday were met with plenty of anguish for fans, many of whom took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
