Austin Mahone Describes Perfect Date And Perfect Girl
Teen heartthrob Austin Mahone is so new to the music scene that he hasn’t even released a debut album yet, but he’s already making a stir among teen girls and fans of pop music. It’s no secret that Mahone’s hit singles “Heart In My Hand” and “What About Love” are about girls, which has fans wondering about his love life.
In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Austin dispelled rumors about dating Camilla Cabelo from Fifth Harmony. “No, we’re not dating!” he said. “She’s really cool, but I’ve only met her once.” Austin also recently denied any heartbreak over an incident with Selena Gomez. But that doesn’t mean Mahone isn’t interested in dating. “Of course I want to date,” he added in the interview. “I always have time for girls!”
Mahone may be young, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking about his ideal romance, both in terms of who he wants to be with and how he wants to spend his time with her. When asked by M Magazine to describe his dream girl, Austin revealed five qualities he’d like to see in a future girlfriend.
First, Austin likes to be the taller one in the relationship. He told M Magazine, “[I like] someone who’s shorter than me.” At a fairly average height of 5’10”, Mahone hasn’t limited the pool much. But he also claimed to prefer girls who are “cool,” or girls who aren’t afraid to be themselves, and girls who enjoy travelling. “Someone who likes to travel [is important] because I do a lot of traveling,” said Austin. “Someone who likes to wake up at 3am [is crucial] because I do a lot of that, too.” In terms of looks, Austin likes a girl with a nice smile and silky, smooth hair, regardless of length or style.
Smitten fan girls who fit that description might wonder next what Mahone would want to do on his perfect first date. Look no further. Austin has shared that too. He told Teen Vogue, “For a first date, I’d probably take a girl to a nice Italian restaurant, and then maybe a nice stroll on the beach before it gets dark.”
The teen star may be new to singing and new to the dating scene, but he’s already had a few romantic firsts. Mahone revealed to Teen Vogue his first kiss, which he actually had very little control over. “My first kiss was at a birthday party when I was 13 years old,” Austin explained. “I was swimming in a pool, and this girl just pulled me underwater and kissed me—I was like, ‘What just happened?!'”
It’s likely that Austin Mahone won’t be single for long as his success continues to take off. His first full-length album titled The Secret will be released on May 27 through Cash Money, Chase, and Republic record labels.
