Kanye West Is Always ‘True To His Word,’ Says Lily Allen
Kanye West is an all-around great guy, according to singer Lily Allen. That’s why she decided to take a few cues from the rapper for her new album.
The British singer is just days away from releasing her new album in the US, a collection of tunes she refers to as Sheezus. While some people may think she’s simply trying to cash in on the success of West’s album Yeezus, Allen insists it’s her admiration for Kanye that prompted the homage.
The songstress was quick to sing West’s praises during her recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. According to Lily, she’s a “massive fan” of Kanye’s music. However, it’s clear that she also thinks the rapper is an incredible human being.

“I respect [Kanye West] for many different reasons, not just his music, but also as a personality. He is always open, honest, true to his word, and doesn’t give a hmm-mmm what anybody thinks. If that makes him Yeezus, then I sure as hell will be Sheezus,” the singer explained.
Although Allen insists that the name of her new album was meant as a nod to Kanye West and his amazing music, she was a little worried about what he might think about the idea. The Inquisitr previously reported that Lily was a bit concerned that the rapper might toss a lawsuit in her direction over the title.
“I’m terrified… I thought he’d think it was a diss, but it’s totally not a diss, I love Kanye I think he’s brilliant. It’s a confident title choice — and a little nod to Kanye West,” the singer told Graham Norton earlier this year.
She added, “He speaks his mind, whether what he’s saying is ridiculous or not, he honestly does believe it and I think there’s a lot to be said for that. In this day and age people are so bland and beige and ‘uhuh, yeah, I love everyone and everything and I like, totally don’t have a problem with everything,’ but he does have a problem!”
Considering Sheezus is all set to hit retail shelves on May 6, it would appear that Kanye West doesn’t have a problem with Lily Allen’s record. Besides, chances are a story about the situation would have popped up somewhere since West can’t make a move without someone writing about it. Even the guy’s lack of enthusiasm about zip lining has generated headlines in recent days.
