Justin Bieber and rapper Lil Wayne walked Floyd Mayweather into the boxing ring for his WBA-WBC welterweight title unifier fight against Argentina’s Marcos Maidana at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday.
It was quite the entrance.
Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne walked champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. to his decisive victory over Marcos Maidana at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday night, memories of Friday’s glove dispute all forgotten.
And “Money” chose his MoneyTeam well it seems. The 37-year-old’s undefeated record is intact after he won the 12-rounder, and he now holds the WBA Welterweight title as well as the WBC Welterweight title he already held.
Bieber and Lil Wayne (aka Tunechi) flanked Mayweather — as the pair did when he beat Saul “Canelo” Alvarez last year and Miguel Cotto in 2012 — also at MGM.
For the walk out, a white T-shirt wearing Lil Wayne performed new single “ Believe Me” from his Tha Carter V album which drops shortly.
Meanwhile, Justin served as straight man to Weezy’s rapping, smiling occasionally as the trio swept into the arena.
The 20-year-old singer looked far more at ease than he did last year, and appeared relaxed as he ambled behind Mayweather in shades, brown Fedora, black T-shirt with ‘face’ design and a purple, patterned jacket.
Before the boxing fight, Bieber urged his over 51 million fans to tune into the pay-per-view bout then posted a snap of himself with Floyd on Instagram.
It was captioned, “#moneymayweather.”
In the shot, the two pals – who were seen getting pampered in a spa the day before the fight – are seen standing next to each other as Floyd balls a fist and an unsmiling Justin goes full Blue Steel.

After Mayweather’s victory, came more freeze-frame moments.

Bieber then uploaded a shot of himself, doing something with his tongue while Mayweather smiled broadly.
Justin wrote, “TMT 46-0,” before linking to his Shots of Me account and including a “selfie” hashtag

The next snap featured Justin with Kylie Jenner and another female, but that’s a whole other conversation.
The Canadian also posted other photos to his social media accounts.

The pair are reportedly interested in joining Magic Johnson’s future bid to buy the Los Angeles Clippers .

The fight nearly didn’t go ahead, after Mayweather took exception to what he thought was the lack of padding in Maidana’s boxing gloves at the weigh in.
After one pair of Maidana’s gloves were disallowed by fight officials, his Everlast MX’s were approved over Floyd’s objection.
Mayweather picked up $32 million for the fight, before his pay-per-view cut and gate bank, while Maidana took home $1.5 million.
Comments from the two men in the ring after the fight revealed very different takes on the outcome.
The Telegraph reports, Mayweather said he “couldn’t see” for two rounds, but summed the face-off and his opponent saying:
“Finally I was in a tough, competitive fight. Normally I blow a guy out. He was a very good fighter.”
In contrast, Maidana, whose team thought they had the win, said:
“I thought I won. Floyd did not fight like a man like I expected him to do.”
That’s a wrap on the fight.
But it’s likely Bieber, Lil Wayne helped Mayweather celebrate his victory. And then some.
