Justin Bieber And Ariana Grande To Release Duet, Chart Slayage Anticipated
That rumored Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande duet is happening. The Canadian set off a mixed fanbase Twitter riot on Thursday when he congratulated Ariana on her iTunes #1 with new single ‘Problem’ and just happened to mention a duet.
Update: Ryan Seacrest earlier confirmed Bieber wrote the duet, with Ariana adding she’s hopeful it will make the cut on her sophomore album.

It’s happening.
After rumors last year, triggered by Bieber and Grande’s famous kiss-selfie and an interview in which the petite songstress declared Justin was top of her “wish list” for a duet, then more rumors around a week ago — the speculation is over.
On Thursday, Bieber ignited Beliebers and Arianators’ hopes for the pair’s musical team-up when he tweeted congratulations to Ariana on her iTunes #1 with “Problem” featuring Iggy Azalea, with the hashtag #arianabieberduet trending on Twitter immediately afterwards.
congrats @arianagrande on your number 1 song. #arianabieberduet?? http://t.co/6krZXjLQU4

Then, the surprise.
Included in Bieber’s message was a link to an Instagram with the same “duet” caption and a picture of the pair in a studio… at some time.

To our eyes the picture looks either photoshopped, or was taken a while ago when the two were rumored to have hit a Los Angeles studio — not to mention they are both in different states right now.
We were still mulling on all of that when Scooter Braun – who manages both singers – then Ariana ended the what if’s.
Less than 20 minutes after Bieber’s tweet, Braun joined in the online action tagging the same snap.
Always expect the unexpected. Home team. @justinbieber @arianagrande wow!!!! http://t.co/VBwGfRFw38

Braun was swiftly followed by Ariana’s brother Frankie, who was freaking out on his Twitter account about the idea and has never made a secret of his Bieber Fever.
i ain’t sayin nothin………… #arianabieberduet

Then. Confirmation. From La Grande.
thank u justin!! secrets out now “@justinbieber: congrats @arianagrande on your number 1 song. #arianabieberduet?? http://t.co/0tI7nRvW8y”

So that’s that. A Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande duet is on its way, and we have to say we are really excited about this one. Mostly, because both are tremendous singers and will no doubt be aiming high.
If they remember it’s not about the runs but the power of a song, this is a duet to anticipate.
A few facts to round things off. “Problem” was released on iTunes April 28 and became the fastest record to reach #1 in the chart’s history, doing so in 37 minutes while topping charts around the world and is expected to exceed 300,000 downloads in its first tracking week.
loves u broke a record! Problem is now the fastest song to ever climb to no 1 on @iTunesmusic only 37 minutes u are the most amazing

Grande premiered the song at the Radio Disney Music Awards, and on Thursday delivered a powerhouse performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards where she also waltzed off with the “iHeartRadio Young Influencer Award.”
So, this is a great time for Bieber to duet with Grande. And after he approved her support on his Believe world tour last year it’s likely there’s a lot of mutual appreciation between them.
Beliebers, in particular, remember Ariana’s mature defense of Bieber earlier this year and her calls for compassion while many mocked on the day he was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Miami Beach.
To her credit, Grande later reiterated those sentiments to Access Hollywood at a pre-Grammy Awards event.
