Is Britney Spears Returning To Her Good Girl Roots? [Video]
Teen music sensation, Britney Spears, was once a beloved role model for young girls everywhere. Her bright smile and catchy tunes grabbed America by storm and catapulted Britney to the top heights of stardom. Whether Spears’ celebrity status went to her head, or she was just too young and immature to handle the pressure, Britney, like so many other child stars, turned her back on the good girl image and went bat crap crazy.
Now a mature 32-year-old mom, Britney seems to have settled down, and may be returning to her good girl roots. Many fans have loved Britney Spears through thick and thin, in the good times and bad. This is certainly evident in the unique wedding gift given to a bride at her wedding earlier this year. According to ABC News, bride Stephanie Huntington was stunned by the wedding toast given by best man, Bradley Bredeweg. The two, best friends for nearly 20 years, had always shared a great love for Britney Spears. Says Huntington, “We’re both kindred spirits. We’re inseparable. Britney has been the soundtrack of our friendship.”
Stephanie first realized Bradley’s toast was unconventional when he said, “We all know that marriage takes love and care, but marriage also takes a lot of work. So, you better work b***h!”
Immediately the dance floor exploded with a fully choreographed Britney Spears dance, performed by professional dancers who had been disguised as wedding servers. “They just busted out in the dance and I was floored,” said Huntington. View the video below to see the amazing dance number.
Even better, the video of the performance was seen by none other than Britney Spears, herself. In a related report by The Inquisitr, Britney tweeted the video with the words, “This wedding toast is INCREDIBLE!!!” Spears went even farther, offering to perform the song for the couple’s 10 year anniversary. In this day where marriage is under fire and many don’t make it to the 10 year mark, one would think a performance by a beloved singer would certainly be an added incentive.
Britney Spears’ following is not just contained to the normal, mundane, common folk like the majority of us, either. Actress Dakota Fanning is also a die hard Spears fan. She attended a Britney show in Las Vegas last weekend, with VIP tickets that allowed her to meet Britney. In 2010, Fanning told Jay Leno, “She was really the first famous person I met when I came to California. I met her in a store when I was 6 years old and I was so starstruck by her and I just loved her so much.”
It’s nice to see that the girl the world loved has worked through her personal issues (we all have them!) and come full circle. Britney Spears is well on the road to recovering her tattered reputation, and we are so glad to see it!
