Taylor Swift Is A Friend And ‘Inspiration’ To Actress Hailee Steinfeld

Taylor Swift is apparently a pretty awesome person to hang around with if you’re young and incredibly talented.

The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer spends her free time with a number of famous faces these days. When she isn’t paling around with New Zealand songstress Lorde, she’s talking shop with Ed Sheeran. How Swift finds a few moments to hang out with friends and foster her career is anybody’s guess.

According to E! Online, Taylor Swift and Ender’s Game star Hailee Steinfeld are also spending a bit of time together these days. However, the actress said she and the country singer try not to draw too much attention to themselves whenever they decide to hit the town.

“I always get the ‘Tell us something nobody knows [about Taylor Swift] question. And it’s like, we both respect each other tremendously, but we choose to keep our friendship out of the public eye. She’s a really great person and an inspiration to me and many others,” she told Nylon magazine.

In addition to Taylor Swift, Hailee also hangs out with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Emma Stone. Steinfeld explained, “We do just really random stuff when we are together. We just love to kick back, listen to music, watch TV, bake, watch movies, and all of that kind of stuff.”

While Taylor Swift and the Barely Lethal actress are busy building a friendship, rumors are still swirling about the country music darling’s relationship with Selena Gomez. The folks at Hollywood Life reportedly spoke to someone who believes the former Wizards of Waverly place isn’t ready to talk to Swift after their falling out.

“Taylor has reached out to Selena a couple of times, but Selena isn’t ready to be friends with her again. When Taylor heard she was going through a tough time, and stopped following all her friends on Instagram, she called her and emailed her, but Selena is not in the mood,” an insider told the website.

The anonymous source added, “She feels like Taylor is going to say ‘told you so.’ But Taylor is truly concerned. There’s not much more she can do. It’s a two way street and Selena needs to make an effort too.”

For those who don’t remember, Taylor Swift and Gomez allegedly started bickering over the fact that Selena was hanging around Justin Bieber again. A number of sketchy reports promptly ensued, making it next to impossible to figure out what’s actually taking place behind the scenes.

Regardless, it seems Taylor Swift has a new friend in Hailee Steinfeld. Just don’t expect them to parade their friendship around in front of photographers on a regular basis.
