Justin Bieber has ‘unfollowed’ Selena Gomez on Instagram and is ‘following’ Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The move will fuel speculation that alleged flirting was at the root of Gomez’s recent Instagram purge.

Bieber’s photo-sharing site shenanigans took place between late April 29 and early April 30, depending on timezones.
While we’re unaware of the precise dates that the Canadian star followed or unfollowed the Disney alum in past years, The Inquisitr previously reported Justin followed Selena on April 10 this year with members of his circle doing the same on April 11.
The 20-year-old’s social media musical chairs follows Gomez’s Instagram purge last week, and comes as Bieber and Kendall socialize in New York City.
It’s rumored the pair will shortly be announced as starring in the next Calvin Klein campaign.
It was first reported on April 20 that Selena “unfollowed” Kendall and Kylie Jenner after she hung out with the sisters at Coachella within the same week. The actress-singer was joined by Bieber on day three. Multiple eyewitnesses claimed the pair were inseparable.
After unfollowing the Jenners, Gomez also deleted pictures of Kendall and Kylie from the festival and at Christian “King” Combs’ Sweet 16 bash.
On April 22, the 21-year-old ‘unfollowed’ everyone else on her Instagram including Taylor Swift, Vanessa Hudgens, and reportedly Bieber.
Fans and media alike speculated over the extreme changes at Gomez’s Instagram account, which also saw a slew of moody photos posted and a screenshot of an article that included tortured lyrics to Mary J. Blige’s “Work In Progress” from her 2007 Growing Pains album.
The Sun was first to allege Selena went “bezerk” at Coachella and suspected “something” went on between Bieber and Kylie, while over at Mail Online a source purportedly told the paper Gomez evicted the Jenners from her Instagram feed after they “spent time with Justin Bieber.”
Then TMZ and E! News reported Gomez had an “epiphany” at the festival and cut ties with the Jenners on Instagram because she believes they are “toxic distractions.”
It was said Gomez is “reevaluating” her friendships, focusing on music and going to church “almost daily.”
The Jenners hit back viz TMZ, counter-claiming that Selena was the party animal and noting her 14-day rehab stint back in January. After that, Gomez’s camp attempted to dial down the furor.
On Monday, Gossip Cop reported a Gomez source said the star had “absolutely no issues with the girls” and removed the Jenners from her Instagram “to get back to using [it] just for her fans and not her personal life.”
However, a recent E! News report contradicted that.
A source told the outlet Selena did get jealous over Kylie and Justin flirting at Coachella but added: “Everything is fine now. Selena has no issues with Kylie whatsoever.”
Meanwhile, Radar online is reporting Selena lost the plot after allegedly finding racy texts from Kylie on Justin’s cell.
A source told the outlet: “Selena flipped out and there was a huge fight between the girls. She now wants nothing to do with Kylie or [her sister] Kendall.”
The insider said Gomez is no longer with Bieber, adding: “Selena was also furious at Justin. They’re not together right now.”
Hollywood Life is also reporting a source said of Bieber and Gomez, “On the Justin front, they’re broken up.”

Into the mix of these events, Splash News reported Justin dined with Kendall and Stephen Baldwin’s daughter Hailey at New York’s Nobu on Monday night — the same day Kendall was spotted arriving in the Big Apple at JFK airport.
Bieber and Jenner were also seen at a New York studio the same night. E! News reported they arrived separately via different entrances at SilverCup Studios in Queens.
“Justin came to the studio, then Kendall arrived a little bit later to the same studio,” a source told E! “They stayed for a few hours.”
The source added the two stars left separately.
Despite all the rumors of Justin and Kendall filming a Calvin Klein campaign, a spokesperson for the designer recently told E!, “As a policy we don’t comment on rumors.”
For now, what we do know is this:
If Instagram ‘follows’ and ‘unfollows’ are our social indicators of choice, it appears the Biebs and Gomez’s romance is done and fans’ hopes for a “Jelena” proposal are dashed.
On the other hand, Kendall and Kylie are in. So there’s that.
