‘Teen Wolf’ Season 4 Synopsis Teases A Threat Called ‘The Benefactor’
Teen Wolf season 4 is only a few weeks away. While people are still coping with the events that transpired during last season’s finale, MTV is ready to move forward with its hit horror series.
As always, a word of warning: There are a few spoilers lurking in this article. Folks who haven’t caught up with Teen Wolf should probably avoid the following passages if they don’t want to ruin any of the show’s surprises. Consider this your final warning!
Thanks to the folks over at Zap2It, we know have an idea of what’s going down in the next batch of Teen Wolf episodes. In addition to coping with the loss of Allison Argent, the surviving characters also have to deal with a brand new enemy as they head into another year of high school. There’s never a moment to rest in the Teen Wolf universe.
Check out of the official season four synopsis:
“Still healing from tragic losses, Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Kira return to a new semester of school with more human worries than supernatural, while also trying to help their new friend, Malia, integrate back into society. But Kate Argent’s surprising resurrection brings a new threat to Beacon Hills along with the emergence of another mysterious enemy known simply as The Benefactor.”
Unfortunately for Teen Wolf fans who are anxious to learn more about next season’s mysterious new villain, MTV is keeping the specifics about the threat under wraps as of this writing. As the premiere date draws near, there’s a chance something specific about the character will bubble to the surface. For the moment, you’ll have to use your imagination.
However, one thing is for certain: Teen Wolf fans will definitely miss series star Crystal Reed during the new season. Allison Argent’s death caught a lot of people by surprise, leading some to believe that producers had forced the actress out of the show. However, Reed explained that she’s ready to tackle other projects.
The actress told Entertainment Weekly:
“It’s given me such a platform to be a role model, to be seen, to be heard and, actually, from the beginning, I’ve grown into a woman from the show — from beginning to end — and I think that was the biggest motivating factor for me to leave. I feel that there’s nothing more that I can give to this character. I think the age difference was something I wanted to change as well because she’s 17.”
Teen Wolf season four premieres on Monday, June 23. Are you planning to tune in?
