Michael Schumacher Condition: He Did Not Wake Up From Coma, Report
The reports from several news sources that indicate Formula One champ, Michael Schumacher has woken up from his coma and recognized his wife are bogus, Autoevolution.com says.
Several news outlets are reporting on Twitter that the much awaited good news regarding Schumacher — who has been in a medically induced coma since a freak skiing accident last December 29 — and the hope that his condition would improve after months of uncertainty, is becoming a reality.
Apparently the information of the supposed improvement in Michael Schumacher’s condition originated with a Spanish publication that stated “Schumi’s” spokesperson Sabin Kehm, told German RTL TV the retired race car driver woke up and recognized his wife.
Actualidad.rt.com quotes another publication, Gazeta.ru, which allegedly says Kehm commented that the seven-time World Champion is in a difficult phase, in a state between sleep and consciousness as he tries to come out of his current condition.
According to this report Kehm refused to give any additional details in order to protect the Schumacher family’s privacy.
However, Nicola Pohl from the German publication Bild says all the news are simply not true and she took to Twitter to deny the reports that Schumacher is out of his coma and spent some time replying to comment on the news:
Schumacher awake? Sorry, but those Rumors from Spain apparently not true. Kehm just texted me she hadn't confirmed anything to RTL

Back when Schumacher was first hospitalized in Grenoble, where he is currently being treated by a team of experts, Sabine Kehm insisted that news is not official unless it comes from her, as she is the official spokesperson for Michael and she warned to take any unconfirmed reports with a grain of salt.
About two weeks ago, Kehm informed reporters, “There are short moments of consciousness and he is showing small signs of progress.”
Michael Schumacher suffered a severe head injury while skiing with his 14-year-old son at the Méribel resort, located in the French Alps, while on vacation with his family.
Schumacher went offsite, fell, and hit his head hard, despite wearing a helmet. The head injury was so serious that doctors said he would have most likely died if he was not wearing the head protection.
Family and fans continue to hold vigil and wish Schumacher — the winningest Formula One Champion — well. His family acknowledged the many well wishers and thanked them for the continued support.
Schumacher’s Twitter feed is red-hot as speculation continues on his current medical condition:
