Kate Upton Felt ‘Uncomfortable’ Being Stared At In Bikini During Filming

Kate Upton is arguably one of the most stunning young models around, but even she is not immune from feeling a little insecure and uncomfortable from time to time.

Wouldn’t you if you were standing in a bikini in front of a 60-man strong film crew on a hot beach?

Upton revealed to E! Online that she very much enjoyed filming The Other Woman – which hits box offices on Friday – and the time she got to spend with co-stars Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. However, she didn’t find it easy and felt she didn’t look her best.

She explained away this feeling of not looking as good as she thinks she should by using her birthday as the culprit: “Of course, I always try to live a healthy lifestyle, but that was my birthday week. So that was the least healthy I’ve ever been. I just turned 21,” she said.

At least she had her trusty co-stars on hand to help her celebrate her birthday: “Cameron, Leslie and I were just living it up that week,” Kate Upton said.

Even though she was full of nerves when she arrived on set, Diaz and Mann helped to calm Upton’s nerves ahead of shooting:

“I was definitely nervous and I didn’t know what to expect. I’m the kind of person who really likes to know what’s coming next, but Leslie and Cameron were just warm right away and supported me every step of the way and made me so comfortable. I felt like I was in a safe place. In comedy, it’s important to feel like you’re in a safe place so you could push your character and be silly and do ridiculous things,” she said.

Cameron Diaz was also feeling the love for both Kate and Leslie: “The girls are so amazing. They’re so funny and so talented and so fearless. I’m really lucky to have them as my partners,” Diaz said.

Kate Upton gushed further during a visit to GMA on Wednesday about how important the support of her co-stars was: “This was my first movie role and these two supported me every step of the way. They made me feel so safe from day one. They encouraged me to mess up and try new things and they were amazing examples.”
