The latest Destiny game trailer shows off the classes in Bungie’s hopeful new killer IP. Following Halo is a tough act for anybody, but Bungie is probably the most likely to pull it off. They have already proven that they can take the simple concept of a space marine and give us a story that rivals most movies. Can they do it again? They certainly have the credentials.
We’ve seen Master Chief take on the Covenant and the Didact with guns and energy swords blazing, so Bungie decided to turn up the action and give us more agile heroes. According to the new trailer for each class, all three are capable of teleporting and using an energy attack, giving the hero more of a ninja feel.
While ninjas have fallen by the wayside in popular media in the recent years, giving way to the pirates, it is most likely because there haven’t been many original new concepts around the Japanese action staple.

The Titan, the first class in the new series of Destiny game trailers, appears to be the most agile, jumping and flying into combat with the standard rifle and teleporting energy attack. Its advantage may be the ability to escape melee attacks and snipe from the air. Titans come from a line of legendary heroes who built the Wall.
The second of the three classes, the Hunter, appears to take a queue from Dishonored with its outfit, with a dark hood and breathing apparatus. It seems to use throwing weapons the most, using a knee slide as it enters combat, forcing opponents to adjust their aim. The Hunter comes from a risk-taking bunch once considered outlaws.

The third class in the Destiny game trailer appears to be the most gun-heavy, occasionally using energy bomb attacks to gain some breathing room in combat. While not as agile as the other two, the Warlock may be the most “tank” of them all. Much like the name implies, the Warlock is adept at the arcane , using magic to its advantage as it seeks to uncover the secrets of the Golden Age.
Bungie will need to be at the top of their game when Planetside 2 comes to the PlayStation 4, but if the Halo series is anything to go by, they aren’t facing any real problems. The three part Destiny game trailer shows they may be more than ready to take on the competition when Bungie’s latest killer IP hits the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on the Destiny release date of September 9.
