Flappy Bird Mobile Game Takes Off
In recent months a Vietnamese game developer named Dong Nguyen created a mobile game called Flappy Bird. Dong states that Flappy Bird was pretty much made in just a few days, and once published it began to rake in the cash. One of the main reasons the game met with such phenomenal success was the simple structure and lack of complicated storyline. In fact, unlike many of the most popular games on the market today, this game is not even written in 3-D.
Flappy Birds involves flying a bird through a network of pipes by continuously tapping on the touchscreen to keep it aloft. That doesn’t sound overly exciting, but there you have it. Apparently, it turns out the game can be quite addictive to play. Since its short-lived release back in February, the game has exploded onto the scene. All kinds of hacks have been made for the original game already.
A growing amount of clones have been created, among them such games as Hoppy Frog, Flying Circus, and even a few that were based on celebrity figures. One of the oddest of these may be the goat simulator. And, surprisingly enough, the concept seems to work well in the Flappy Golf game.

Flappy Bird Review
Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen was so overwhelmed by the popularity of his game and all the publicity that came along with it that it was only officially available for a total of nine days, but even then it managed to reach the top of the charts. Dong reports that at one point he even received death threats via social media, which was one of the main reasons for the removal.
Now, there has been talk of a return of the somewhat addictive game. If Dong agrees, many wonder if the second incarnation of Flappy Birds will meet with as much success as it’s predecessor. Many people hope that if it returns the graphics will be much improved, and perhaps Dong will incorporate some sort of save points, which it currently lacks. Some gaming fans have commented that they do not believe the remake of the game may not attract nearly the attention, since so many similar games have now flooded the market since Dong pulled it.
So the fate of Flappy Birds remains an unknown. It will prove interesting to see what happens next.
