True Blood Final Season Trailer Released [Video]
True Blood fans everywhere are getting anxious for the start of the final season of the popular HBO drama series. According to a previous report by The Inquisitr, HBO recently announced the show’s release date, and with it a little teaser trailer to get fans even more anxious.
In the teaser trailer, fans got a little taste of what may come as the camera pans across a dark, spooky graveyard. A few grave stones can be seen, many belonging to the Stackhouse family, the family of the story’s main character, Sookie, played by Anna Paquin. The camera finally lands on a gravestone that reads True Blood: 2008-2014.
Can you say ominous? Well that teaser trailer fits perfectly with the new True Blood season trailer released on HBO Sunday during Game of Thrones, according to the Huffington Post. When news first broke that True Blood was coming to an end, many fans were upset. According to E! News, the President of HBO Programming, Michael Lombardo said in a statement that True Blood has been “nothing short of a defining show for HBO.”
“Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an unforgettable journey. Alan passed the baton to Brian Buckner, who led our fantastic writers and crew in crafting a spectacular sixth season, and he will lead us through the seventh and final season of this amazing show. Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.”
Well, it sure seems like the final season of True Blood will be a promising one. In the trailer released Sunday, Sookie can be heard explaining that the government has all but given up helping the humans as infected vampires allegedly continue on their killing sprees. The city of Bon Temp is, as always, in a state of panic as Sookie explains that the good people of the small town have started to turn on each other. Finally, the trailer ends with Sookie saying “There’s no one left”. Sure seems to fit the graveyard teaser’s ending, doesn’t it?
