A Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande Duet May Be On The Way
A Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande duet? What, where, how, who?
We hear you.
Listen, we’ve only just got our breathing normalized after finding out Justin and his back-on girlfriend Selena Gomez recorded a duet called “Unfamiliar,“ which currently has no release date or plans to release that we know of.
So what’s the basis for the Bieber-Grande duet rumor?
Last September, both stars made headlines when a “kiss-selfie” of the twosome surfaced last August just as Ariana’s support on Bieber’s Believe tour wrapped its North American leg.
A month later, Grande told Philly’s Wired 96.5 radio show that Justin was on her wish list of artists to work with. “I want to do a song with Justin Bieber. I do,” the pretty brunette said at the time, adding that the only reason for the hold up was Bieber’s insistence on writing the song.
“We going to, but he wants to write it,” Grande explained. She added,”We had a cool song. It was going to be a duet, but then he didn’t write it so he was like — no!”

Fast forward to April 20 and Popdust’s report that ahead of her upcoming single “Problem” releasing — featuring Iggy Azalea — Grande recently tweeted then deleted a message that read:
“there’s a mystery whisperer on the record as well…..it’s up to him wether or not he’d like to reveal himself #10DaysUntiIProblem.”
So, whoever it is, it sounds like more of a cameo than a duet.
While Grande has been putting in the hours in a Los Angeles recording studio, Bieber also recently returned to the City of Angels.
Other possible hints of an Ariana-Justin duet are two tweets from mutual manager Scooter Braun and the Biebs himself.
the musical collaborations taking place in la tonight….wow. beyond excited.

Bieber later followed up, writing:

.
It’s probably best not to jump to conclusions as both Braun and Bieber may well have been talking about something completely different. But, never say never.
For the moment, Grande — who will be presented with the “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” gong by the Music Business Association next month — is busy hyping her fans (Arianators) for “Problem” which drops Sunday, April 27.
The day before, Grande will perform “Problem“ at the Radio Disney Music Awards at the Nokia Theater L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, Saturday, April 26 and the show will air on the Disney Channel Sunday.

From a gander at online conversations, we get the impression Beliebers and Arianators are entertaining the possibility of a Bieber-Grande collaboration, but want more details.
Meanwhile, after surprising crowds and media when he jumped on stage as a hype man and guest of Chance The Rapper at Coachella, then hanging out with Gomez at the Indio festival, before shading Drake Bell later in the week — Bieber left Los Angeles for Tokyo, Japan on Saturday.

Justin is in Tokyo with his crew and also his mother, Pattie Mallette.
As yet, there’s no word on what Bieber is doing in Tokyo but he has been spotted enjoying walks in the city undisturbed, which must make a change from the paparazzi-dense L.A.

The singer later tweeted his over 51 million Twitter followers from his new locale, writing:
“In a happy place. Much love to everyone this Easter,” later adding,
“This is my time off but my mind is always running. Learned a lot this past year thru trial & error but that is life. Excited for what’s next.”
