Miley Cyrus is going to be out of action for at least the next five to 27 days . It appears the Bangerz Tour star might be out of action in the United States for quite a bit longer than that.
On her Twitter account, Cyrus announced the new dates for her US tour and those dates don’t kick off until August 1. According to HollywoodLife.com , Cyrus is hoping to get better more quickly than her doctors are giving her, but the official dates show several more months of rest and recuperation for Miley.
For her part, its pretty obvious Cyrus isn’t all that happy she has to be on the sidelines as long as she has been. On the tweet, Miley Cyrus put a sad emoticon next to the words “rescheduled.” The performer understands plenty about disappointing her fans.

The announcement of the postponement is going to be wiping out quite a few performances at some pretty big venues. CNN reports the delay of the tour until August means shows in Philadelphia, at Foxwoods casino in Connecticut, and on Long Island, New York are officially off — at least for now.
Cyrus has not left the hospital yet, which seems to indicate she is indeed suffering from a rather serious malady. Miley has had to deal with her fair share of rumors since she first checked into the hospital and has come out against many of them, denouncing them as “ignorant.”
She’s also clearly not really enjoying her stay at the hospital, even if she’s likely being treated like the star Miley Cyrus has become. On Friday, the singer tweeted out that she was “sick of needles” with the hashtag #goingthruit.
The whole situation seems to have started when Cyrus contracted a sinus infection and simply looked to take some regular old antibiotics in order to fight it off. The reaction to the meds was much worse than even her people expected and she had to cancel a couple of shows on very short notice.
Miley’s camp put out an announcement about her condition and has cautioned that she isn’t really over the problem just yet, despite the best efforts of her medical team. Miley’s publicists issued a statement which said:
“She [Cyrus] will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”
It’s a safe bet Miley Cyrus will return to action as soon as she is able.
