Lea Michele and Naya Rivera Feud: No ‘Glee’ Between Co-Stars
Things are not all gleeful when it comes to Lea Michele and Naya Rivera.
According to TMZ.com insiders on the set of Glee Tuesday reported a rift between co-stars Lea Michele and Naya Rivera that may have left one of them fired.
In this account, the tension started when Michele starting showing signs of “diva antics — like making everyone else wait to shoot a scene… while she stepped away to deal with personal matters.” It was at this point, according to the article, that Rivera “had the stones” to tell the producers that Lea was acting out and, on behalf of the entire crew, they were pissed off. When Michele returned and got wind of the exchange she stormed off set.
According to Hollywood Life however, the truth behind the Naya Rivera and Lea Michele feud happened a completely different way – which also resulted in Naya being fired from the show. In this account, it was Rivera who was the trouble on set, not Lea Michele. Insides told Hollywood Life:
“Lea didn’t even know that Naya complained, if that did in fact happen. She (Naya) showed up to the set in really bad shape — she’s been acting more and more erratically on set. She went off on one of the producers on the show and they got really upset with her and it escalated from there.”
Also, it’s being reported, contrary to TMZ.com, that Michele did not storm off set upon learning of Rivera’s claims to the producer. She instead left with Glee creator Ryan Murphy to do a prescheduled live Twitter chat. TMZ.com is also the only outlet reporting Naya was fired.
It’s been a difficult year for Naya Rivera and many are connecting her reported “erratic behavior” to her recent break-up with rapper Big Sean. As reported by Inquistr, Big Sean announced that he was calling off their engagement. In a statement released to US Weekly, Big Sean explains the decision to end things with Naya Rivera:
“After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off. The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”
Lea Michele meanwhile has also had a difficult year losing her boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith to drugs. But according to Inquistr, her future is looking bright with several career possibilities following the end of Glee.
Wherever Lea Michele and Naya Rivera land when Glee ends its run on Fox, one thing is for sure – it will not be on the same set!
