Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez set to to tour together à la R&B power couple Jay Z and Beyonce?

A joint tour by the reunited Jelena, who were reportedly inseparable at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last weekend, would certainly draw fans of both stars and devotees of their on-again, off-again relationship — but is the rumor actually true?

“She [Selena] says she could open for him,” one source tells Us Weekly, adding that Justin, “thinks anything she says is great” and is now considering the possibility of the pair going on the road.

However, the rumor has been shot down in withering fashion by Gossip Cop who report the Bieber-Gomez tour chatter was wrong when Star magazine first reported it, but now it’s both “wrong and old.”

The website confirms they asked a source close to the situation whether there was any truth to the joint tour story and were bluntly told, “No.”

So that’s that. There are no plans for a Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez arena trek in the works.

But, we can still imagine. Just think of the possibilities. Fast forward ten months from now.

The Canadian heartthrob, legal woes and messy South America tour leg now just a dimming memory, stands on stage bathed in spotlight.

An opening line,” Will you be my baby?” is the cue for a second spotlight as the Latina star descends to the stage atop a glittering Segway.

And we’re back in the room.

So, to recap: Bieber and Gomez won’t be touring anytime soon and — on reflection — our stab at upgrading “Baby” is all kinds of terrible.

Meanwhile, Justin is reportedly “ready to make some changes in his life” and now wants only positive people around him, a source tells E! News.

Possibly still buzzing from his surprise cameo during Chance The Rapper’s Coachella set, where he and Selena were later spotted looking very much a couple watching Jhené Aiko perform Sunday, the 20-year-old was all smiles as he left the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

Justin was snapped by waiting paparazzi as he posed for photos with fans and appeared to be in good spirits after his meeting with manager Scooter Braun at the hotel, who posted an Instagram of their pow-wow.

As for Selena, the 21-year-old was spotted arriving with flowers at a friend’s house in Los Angeles the same day.

The actress-singer can currently be seen in adidas NEO’s Summer Collection which the label debuted yesterday.

Somewhat intriguingly, Bieber recently tweeted, “Got some big news coming.”

That could mean anything of course, but it won’t be upcoming dates of a Bieber and Gomez joint tour.
