‘Expendables 3’ Cast Revealed In First Official Group Photo
The Expendables 3 cast has been mostly confirmed as the first official group photo was released, in the tweet below. It remains to be seen whether or not the movie will take a more comedic approach like its predecessor did, or if it will try to be a more serious action movie again.
The first film followed the testosterone-fueled shenanigans of Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), who defied the orders of their boss Mr. Church to go back and free Ross’ contact. Along the way they encountered a motorcycle mechanic and tattoo artist (Mickey Rourke) and the ambitious Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger), and proved that even though they were getting old, they still had plenty of fight left in them. Also, Christmas confronted his cheating girlfriend.
The second film took a more comical route when it introduced Chuck Norris as the man all of the jokes make him look like, but ended on a semi-serious note by taking out the villain Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme) after he killed Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth).
The Expendables 3 cast brings back all of the main actors you remember from the first two, and this time adds Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kelsey Grammer, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, Glen Powell, and Robert Davi. This time the villain is arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), who had founded the Expendables along with Barney Ross. According to the story, Ross was forced to kill Stonebanks, and thought he had succeeded.

Stonebanks is back and determined to kill Ross in return, and this time it appears to be a team battle. The first official photo released for The Expendables 3 shows Stallone, Statham, Crews, Snipes, Lundgren, and Couture alongside director Patrick Hughes. It is unknown whether or not Jet Li will still be with the “good guys,” but according to the Expendables 3 trailer, he will be in the film.
The confirmed Expendables 3 cast includes a majority of the actors from the first two, and a handful of new faces. Are you excited to see the latest addition to the ensemble action series?
