Bruno Mars is still a relatively fresh face in the music business, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t making serious money at the moment.
The singer was one of the many celebrities profiled in Parade magazine’s “What People Earn” article. Mars is just one of many musicians who are adding tons of zeroes to their respective banks accounts on a regular basis.
According to the publication, Bruno Mars is getting an extremely hefty paycheck these days. The singer earned an incredible $38 million over the course of 2013. That is definitely a nice chunk of change for a guy who was playing clubs not too long ago.
Mars probably has no complaints about the amount of money he’s making these days, but the singer still has a way to go before he catches up with some of his fellow pop stars. Parade points out that Justin Timberlake earned approximately $63 million last year thanks to the popularity of his 20/20 Experience album and tour.
While Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake certainly made a ton of cash during 2013, their paychecks weren’t quite as large as the one cashed by controversial singer Miley Cyrus. According to the publication, the former Hannah Montana star brought home a staggering $76.5 million. This is up from the $48 million she reportedly earned back in 2010.
Since the guy has quite a bit of money at his disposal, Bruno Mars wants to make sure that he gives a little cash to those in need. The Inquirer reports that Bruno recently donated $100,000 to Typhoon Yolanda victims towards the end of March.
The website reports:
“The sum that Mars donated will be dedicated to giving medical assistance to children who have been affected by Yolanda. Part of the proceeds will be used to fund feeding programs, scholarships, and stress debriefing programs for kids that have been greatly affected by the calamity. The foundation is also looking into enrolling these children in disaster preparedness workshops so they could learn basic survival tips during the onslaught of a natural disaster.”
Bruno Mars’ incredible year is only getting better. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer was recently nominated for a top honor at the Billboard Music Awards. The singer is up against some stiff competition this year, including New Zealand songstress Lorde and critical darlings Imagine Dragons.
