Candace Cameron Bure Has Reunion With ‘Full House’ Boyfriend
Candace Cameron Bure has her own mini Full House reunion in the works, with an appearance on a television show produced by her former on-screen boyfriend.
Candace played high school sweethearts with Scott Weinger on the ’90s sitcom Full House, and this week the two will reunion on an episode of The Neighbors, where Weinger is now a writer and producer.
“Scott called me and said, ‘Would you do a cameo on my show?’ He said, ‘It’s kind of like a little DJ/Steve reunion in a way and it’ll be fun,'” Cameron-Bure told ABC News. “I didn’t hesitate! It was great.”
Though Scott Weinger now works behind the scenes, he will share some air-time with his former on-screen love. He and Candace Cameron Bure will play visitors to the the neighbors in the series.
The two have stayed close after Full House went off the air in 1995. Candace took Scott to her prom, and their families remain close.
Candace has now seen a career resurgence of sorts, including becoming a fan favorite on Dancing With The Stars.
“My boys love that I’m on Dancing With The Stars but as far as my movies, my boys are not that interested because they’re into sports,” she said. “But my daughter loves every opportunity she can get to come on set or be a part of it and my husband thinks it’s fantastic.”
Candace Cameron Bure has done a lot of revisiting to her past romantic life. Aside from reuniting with Weinger, she also had a bit of a run-in with fellow DWTS competitor Danica McKeller about a past romantic triangle.
It turns out that Candace once dated actor Jeremy Miller (who played little brother Ben Seaver on Growing Pains), but he left her in favor of Danica. Candace brought it up on the DWTS set.
“Candace had a run-in with Danica and told her she was the reason she split with her old boyfriend,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. “She used to date Jeremy Miller from Growing Pains years ago, but he broke up with her to date Danica.”
But there is no ill will between Candace Cameron Bure and Danica McKeller. The Full House star said they have remained close, and that she’s happy to see Danica on DWTS opposite her.
