Prince George Steals The Show At First Official Play Date In New Zealand [Photos]

Prince George was the star, at a play date he attended with his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William earning more sighs of delight around the world.

The young royal has been the main attraction, ever since arriving in New Zealand with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Monday for a three-week long visit that also includes Australia.

When they arrived in the island nation, the world got its first good look at eight-month-old Prince George, who behaved very well after a 25-hour flight from England.

He appeared to be taking it all in and even though George looked happy, the Prince didn’t really give us any big smiles as mom Kate held him tightly.

A play data can be intimidating for a young one, but after those first few moments of observing the other kids, Prince George showed some of his true personality.

On the third day of the first family tour, Prince George, Prince William and Kate Middleton attended what is being called the most watched play date ever at a mom and dad event that took place at the Government House in Wellington.

George looked well rested and was wearing a sailor-themed overall, with white shirt and as his mom carried him around talking to other parents, the Prince appeared to be wanting to touch the other infants.

He was later seen crawling, as photographers snapped hundreds of photos of the social gathering for little tykes.

This first royal appearance for Prince George, will begin what is surely to be a life full of duties, as third-in-line to the British throne.

Comparisons between Prince George and his father, William, are being made as, in 1983 Princes Diana and a stiff looking Prince Charles, introduced their nine-month-old son at the Government House in Auckland, New Zealand, where he had his “crawlabout” debut in their lawn.
