Emilia Clarke Is Excited About Sarah Connor Role

Emilia Clarke might be recognized by most fantasy adventure fans as the “Mother of Dragons” on Game of Thrones, but it’s the role of a different mother all together that has Clarke really excited. Emilia has recently been cast as Sarah Connor in the reboot of the Terminator franchise.

That means Emilia will take on the role of John Connor’s mother and Clarke will try to help him survive the onslaught of murderous robots bent on ending the human race.

One thing that seems constant for Emilia since she has burst onto the scene is that she gets cast as a strong woman. Clarke is quick to point out however that the kind of woman she is in Game of Thrones and Terminator: Genesis are completely different.

Emilia Clarke didn’t pull any punches when she talked to the LA Times about her role in this upcoming movie, saying the character is a “bad-a_ _.” She also made sure to point out that there are going to be some changes to the way she portrays the iconic character in Genesis.

Emilia pointed out that the changes in the way Sarah Connor was written in this version of the story will “hopefully excite fans and people who aren’t so familiar.”

There hasn’t been a whole lot of information made available about Emilia Clarke’s character and what exactly will be going on in the new Terminator franchise, though clearly a younger Sarah Connor means a different storyline than anything we’ve seen since the movie that launched the successful series.

No matter what happens in this new flick, there is very little doubt that Emilia has exploded on the entertainment scene and her star is burning quite bright these days. Clarke’s role on Game of Thrones is one of a rather seductive warrior princess has made her one of the most desirable women on the planet both by most of America’s men and by casting directors alike.

Considering this season looks to be focusing on GOT’s “Mother of Dragons” finally bringing her army to Westeros she will likely spend quite a bit of time on screen. Most people appear to be plenty happy when Emilia spends any amount of time on screen as fans genuinely enjoy the growth Clarke’s character has made since she was first introduced.

Emilia Clarke’s Hollywood career has also seen quite a bit of growth since she was first introduced on a large scale to American Audiences.
