Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience World Tour is coming to New Zealand not once, or twice, but three times. Due to the two concerts selling extremely well, Timberlake has decided to add a third show. It’s being reported that the official New Zealand dates for Timberlake’s The 20/20 World Tour will happen on October 15, October 12, and October 13.
The “Mirrors” singer plans to play his three shows at Vector Arena, which is the very same venue he managed to sell out back in 2007. Back then the singer brought his FutureSex/LoveSounds tour for three sold out nights. At the time, the show received rave reviews, and if prior reviews of his 20/20 Experience are any indication, it looks like Justin Timberlake may score some more positive reviews in Auckland.
The Australian leg of The 20/20 Experience starts off in Melbourne for two nights on September 18, and his following stops are in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and will finish it off with Perth on October 9 before heading to Auckland. For those who live in New Zealand, tickets go on sale for the shows on April 11 at 10 a.m. for the general public. For those who are members to Timberlake’s Tennessee Kids fan club tickets will be on sale on April 8. This also includes MasterCard holders as well.
It’s been a pretty exciting tour with some memorable off the cuff moments for Timberlake. A few months ago Timberlake was involved in a middle finger stand-off with the crowd during a stop in Philadelphia after someone in the front row decided to get his attention by giving him the middle finger. Deciding to make the most of the moment Timberlake gave the concert goer the middle finger, which then promptly turned into a “bird-off” with everyone else.
Another incident saw Timberlake getting groped by a concert goer during his show. At the time the “SexyBack” singer was singing his song “Cabaret” in the middle of the VIP section of the concert. An unidentified concert goer decided to grope the singer’s backside. Always the consummate professional, Timberlake flipped the stranger’s hand off while dancing.
Recently Timberlake found himself in the middle of a very personal announcement during a London show. As previously reported, Justin toasted the “new baby.” His announcement was misunderstood by the audience, who thought Timberlake was confirming the baby rumors that he and Jessica Biel were expecting. Fortunately the singer was quick to squash any news items that might come out of the announcement by clarifying that he was talking about the royal baby George. “George, you motherf—-rs,” Timberlake said, as the crowd went wild.
The 20/20 Experience World Tour wraps up in Auckland on October 13, 2014.
