Austin Mahone Eyes Hollywood Stardom, Wants To Tackle Action Movies

Austin Mahone has his sights set on becoming Hollywood’s next action hero.

Although the singer is still relatively new to the music industry — he’s yet to unveil a full-length record as of this writing — Mahone is thinking about the future. Not content to simply dominate the recording booth, Austin said he wouldn’t mind taking his talents to the big screen in the near future.

J-14 Magazine reports that the teenage heartthrob eventually wants to move into the world of acting. Since he’s already appeared in such programs as The Millers and Big Time Rush, Mahone believes it’s only a matter of time before he makes the jump to feature films.

“I’d like to do more acting jobs and more shows and stuff. It’s fun and any time I have an opportunity to act, I do it,” Austin explained.

What sort of motion pictures would Mahone like to tackle? According to Yahoo Celebrity UK, the singer wouldn’t mind blowing things up or saving the world from bad guys. In other words, Austin could find himself in an Expendables sequel if he plays his cards right.

“Ideally I’d love to star in an action movie. If I get an opportunity I’m going to take it. My ideal person to star opposite would be Will Ferrell — he’s great. Women? Probably Mila Kunis or Jennifer Aniston,” the singer explained.

Despite his desire to become the world’s next action hero, Austin Mahone still has his mind on his music. In fact, there’s a certain boy band the singer wouldn’t mind joining forces with at some point down the road.

“Aren’t One Direction from the UK — yeah I’m a fan of them. I think it’ll be real fun to work with them one day,” he said.

If Mahone wants to take Hollywood by storm, then he might want to meet up with One Direction singer Harry Styles very soon. The Inquisitr previously reported that Styles also wants to become the next big thing in Tinsel Town. In fact, he recently bought a home in Los Angeles while making some impressive industry connections.

“He’s already been writing for Kodaline and [The X Factor USA winners] Alex and Sierra, and recording solo demos. He wants to act, too, and he can’t get the real gig if he stays in a boy band that 12 year olds like,” an anonymous source recently explained.
