Throughout promoting The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Emma Stone has shown the fans that Jennifer Lawrence isn’t the only young actress that exudes charm and candor during press junkets. Stone has something to give adoring fans as well.
While in Japan, Emma Stone and her boyfriend Andrew Garfield attended a junket for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and got “all caught up” in a web. Emma, Andrew and Jamie Foxx were involved in a fun mess when the actors started to spray what looked like Silly String designed as a big web at each other. Then, of course, director Marc Webb and producers Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad had to get in on the fun as well.
In addition to their press junket Emma and Andrew are also trying to make a huge difference in how we treat the environment. The two, although they appeared giggly, had a serious message for fans during Earth Hour. For those who don’t know, Earth Hour was a worldwide movement that encourages big establishments, households and businesses to turn off their “non-essential” lights for an hour from 8:30 to 9:30.
Stone and Garfield helped the cause while in the middle of their press tour in Singapore. Known as The First Super Hero Ambassador for Earth Hour , Garfield took to the stage and held Stone’s hand while bringing awareness to the cause. The event that the lovebirds participated in not only raises millions of dollars, but also raised awareness about climate change and energy use. During the event Emma was seen dancing around on stage and saying hello to the tiniest of fans.
As far as press junkets go, the Amazing Spider-Man promotion has been pretty standard, but there have been some joyous moments of spontaneity. As reported Emma Stone got the surprise of her teeny bopper life when she was brought to tears by former Spice Girls member Mel B. An avid self-proclaimed fan of the Spice Girls, Stone started to cry when it was revealed that she could of had the chance to meet Mel B. Instead she cried her way through a special video that Mel B. made for her.
As for Stone’s boyfriend, he’s had his fair share of fun moments too. Just the other day he had this to say about his “package” and how it’s highlighted in his Spider-Man costume.
“It takes a lot of consideration because you don’t want it to be overwhelming. And also you don’t want it to be underwhelming. You don’t want it to intimidate… and you don’t want it to… the opposite of intimidate.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into theaters on May 2.
