Lindsay Lohan Ditches The Anger, Embraces The Peace [Video]
Lindsay Lohan is bidding farewell to the anger that controlled her life.
The troubled actress is busy telling the world that she’s no longer the messed up tabloid girl who caused all sorts of trouble not too long ago. The Mean Girls star’s trip to rehab last year reportedly worked wonders, allowing Lohan to kick anger to the curb and take peace by the hand.
To prove to the world that she’s a different person, Lindsay took her new outlook on life to Ellen. During her appearance on the chat show, Lohan discussed her life, career, and leaving Los Angeles in the rear view mirror.
“I don’t have as much anger anymore. I have more peace in my life… I just like want to work and take care of me right now,” she told DeGeneres during the interview.
Heading back to New York City was also a big step for Lindsay. After becoming overwhelmed with loneliness on the West Coast, she hopped a plane back to the Big Apple. According to the actress, she moved in with her family and spends a lot of time with old friends. This helped her get things back on the right track, both personally and professionally.
Lindsay Lohan also took a moment to discuss her relationship with Oprah Winfrey. The pair joined forces for the WE docu-series Lindsay, a program that focuses on the actress as she attempts to regain control of her post-rehab existence. While the pair don’t always see eye-to-eye, Lohan said Winfrey has definitely helped her find positivity in life.
“She’s just been a really strong guiding light and force to me as a friend and someone that I admire,” Lindsay said of Oprah.
As for the TV show, Lohan said she found the process pretty difficult. The actress explained, “It’s pretty raw. It’s very honest. It got really overwhelming, but it’s probably one of the best things that I’ve allowed myself to do. It was kind of hard getting into an apartment, reliving my life, living a sober life and having cameras there for all of it.”
Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell when Lindsay is telling the truth and when she’s trying to pull the wool over our eyes. The Inquisitr previously reported that Lohan is partying pretty hard behind closed doors.
“She’s got people coming and going at all hours. Lindsay loves talking about her sobriety — then going to the Electric Room every Friday and Saturday night,” an anonymous source recently dished.
The insider added, “Lindsay avoids her [Oprah’s] calls some of the time. She thinks she has it handled. Oprah really does care and really wants to see her healthy.”
