Liam Neeson Filming Sex Scene For Woody Allen When Soon-Li Scandal Broke
Liam Neeson was in the middle of filming a sex scene for Woody Allen’s 1992 movie Husbands And Wives when the director’s long-time partner, Mia Farrow, discovered nude photos of her daughter Soon-Li.
The photos were allegedly taken by Allen, in which would become one of the most bizarre incidents involving a Hollywood celebrity, and would taint the famed director’s name to this day.
Neeson — who is featured on the cover of the April issue of GQ magazine — says that he and co-star Judy Davis were literally in bed ready to do their thing, when Allen received a phone call informing him that Farrow had discovered the pictures.
The director was nowhere to be found and things were getting uncomfortable for Liam and Davis who were awaiting for his return to set so the could move on with their steamy scene.
“There was one incident — people think I’ve made this up, but no. There’s a scene where I’m (performing a sex act) on Judy Davis, right. Judy and I are in bed — obviously covered up.?.?. the crew are all ready, and we’re waiting for Woody. No-show. It’s starting to get a bit uncomfortable.”
The 61-year-old actor added:
“Anyway, he came out after about 20 minutes.?.?. there was no apology, nothing. What happened: His lawyer had gotten in touch with him to say Ms. Farrow has found naked photographs of her adopted daughter [Soon-Yi].”

Woody Allen would later go on to marry Soon-Li Previn and Liam Neeson says he became close to Mia Farrow, who offered him love advice when he met Natasha Richardson, who would become his wife in 1994 and die in a tragic skiing accident in 2009.
“A few months later, Mia was doing a film with Natasha in Ireland. We had a couple of Guinnesses one night, and I told (Mia) I was going to marry this woman.”
After his heartache following Richardson’s untimely death, Liam Neeson went through a very difficult time and even turned down the role of Lincoln, for which Daniel Day Lewis would earn the Oscar.
At 61, Liam Neeson has reinvented himself with films such as Taken which has earned about $600 million thus far and more recently Non-Stop, and become a sort of action hero, something that he could not see himself doing just a few years ago.
