Candace Cameron Bure Is Keeping It Classy On ‘DWTS’
Candace Cameron Bure is most notably remembered as the bubbly eldest sister, DJ Tanner, of Full House fame. These days, however, the majority of her time is spent on her faith, and being a wife and mother. Candace is married to Russian NHL hockey player, Valerie Bure, and together the couple are parents of daughter Natasha, 15, and sons Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12. Sister of the actor Kirk Cameron, the family is well known for their strong Christian faith.
After accepting a position on the current season of Dancing With The Stars, Candace made the decision to stay true to her values. “The two most important things in my life are my faith and my family and I know that is what is going to get me through this competition,” says Bure. In an interview with Us Weekly, Candace Cameron Bure spoke about how she plans to present herself on the show. “I won’t be the sexiest one out there. I am a mom and I want to be a good role model for my children and my husband.”
In fact, it is Candace’s desire to be an inspiration for all women. “I want to represent all the moms out there and inspire them and encourage them. I’m just a woman. I’m not any different than all the moms out there — my priority is my family, my husband, my kids and so this for me is truly just a joy,” says Candace Cameron Bure.
Just because Candace will not be wearing revealing clothing does not mean she won’t be stunning. In her words, she will “wear what reflects the dance but in the most classy way possible.” She plans to find a happy medium between sexy and modest.
On Dancing With The Stars, Season 18, Week 2, Candace Cameron Bure and dancing partner, Mark Ballas, performed the Rumba. Bure admits she was most worried about this particular dance because of the seemingly sexual moves in the choreography. In a report by Wetpaint, the performance was said to be emotional, but “not at all raunchy,” achieving the desired results that Candace and Ballas had set out to attain.
Candace Cameron Bure is definitely an inspiration. In a time where skimpy clothing and outrageous behavior has become mainstream, especially in the celebrity world (Miley Cyrus comes to mind here), Bure shows us that it is possible to be an excellent entertainer as well as a good role model. She will not compromise her Christian values, and for that she is to be applauded. Instead, she strikes a compromise that, indeed, works very well. Stay tuned for Candace Cameron Bure’s coming performances on Dancing With The Stars at 7 pm on Monday nights on the ABC network.
