If Sarah Michelle Gellar was expecting an invitation to the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, well, it looks like she just blew her chance. The Crazy Ones star got a little crazy when she saw the latest cover of Vogue Magazine and blasted out her all-too-honest opinion via Twitter.
As has long been known, Kim Kardashian always coveted a place of the cover of the fashion bible. It was reported that Kanye West, her soon-to-be third husband, even made a personal entreaty to legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour to give the curvaceous Keeping Up With the Kardashians star a place on the magazine’s cover, an honor that cements the status of the women who receive it as certified fashion icons.
Certified by Anna Wintour, anyway.
In the April edition, Kim finally fulfilled her dream, in a dual shot with Kanye — and Sarah Michelle Gellar was not thrilled, to say the least.
“Well……I guess I’m canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???” Gellar tweeted, from her “RealSMG” account.

Here is the cover that raised the ire of Sarah Michelle Gellar.
And Gellar wasn’t the only one.
I think it’s time Vogue went back to putting models on the cover.

I will never buy another issue of Vogue. I rebuke it in the name of the lord.

And so on. But there was at least some pushback against the Sarah Michelle Gellar tweet. Kim Kardashian’s friend Jonathan Cheban retweeted the Gellar tweet, along with his own catty comeback, “Do u matter?”
Well, Sarah Michelle Gellar is an actual actress with a string of TV and film credits, for whatever that’s worth. She co-starred with Robin Williams in The Crazy Ones and carried the perennially popular Buffy for seven seasons.
But Kim Kardashian is marrying Kanye West, so…
Anyway, Anna Wintour defended her decision to grace the cover of Vogue with a reality TV figure and a rapper.
“My opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it,” Wintour wrote in an editor’s note. “You may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover. He did nothing of the sort.”
WIntour went on to call Kanye West ” an amazing performer and cultural provocateur,” and praise Kim Kardashian for “through her strength of character” creating “a place for herself in the glare of the world’s spotlight.”
Nonetheless, Sarah Michelle Gellar remained unimpressed.
