Jessica Alba Loves To Shop For Furniture… On Craigslist
Jessica Alba might have tons of money resting in her bank account, but that doesn’t mean the actress can’t appreciate a good deal when she sees one.
Instead of rushing out to the nearest high-end retail outlet to pick up a new dress or furniture, the Sin City often tracks down these items on Craigslist. This writer can only imagine the seller’s shock and surprise when Jessica Alba rolls up to someone’s house to collect the credenza they listed on the website.
The actress recently opened up about her penchant for shopping on Craigslist during an interview with the folks at Redbook. While her husband is busy watching sports, Jessica digs through Craigslist in search of something that catches her eye.
“I bought my hot pink desk off Craigslist. I have a problem. I love vintage furniture, and refurbishing is one of the most eco things you can do. I also got a couple of cool chairs and Danish mid-century credenzas off of Craigslist,” Jessica Alba told the publication.
According to the actress, she also has a problem with Instagram. Although she’s critical about what her husband does with his spare time, he’s quick to point out that Alba spends a lot of time on the social media site.
“All he watches is sports. Fantasy football is so annoying — there’s always a game on. Though he says I’m addicted to Instagram, so it goes both ways!” Jessica explained.
When she isn’t hunting for deals online or staring at pictures on Instagram, Jessica Alba manages to get some work done. Not only has she appeared in several motion pictures over the years, she’s also the CEO of The Honest Company.
“We do detergents, household cleaning products, personal care products, diapers and wipes; all non-toxic and hypo-allergenic. It’s a game-changer in the family product business,” she told The Independent.
The actress added, “I’m the president and founder and it’s grown quicker than we ever imagined. I’m really proud of it. I spend more time at my office now than on the movie set.”
Of course, this doesn’t mean she’s turned her back on Hollywood. Fans of Alba can catch her next in Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez’s highly-anticipated sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. After a lengthy delay, the movie should arrive in theaters later this year.
