‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Star Sasha Alexander Says Season 5 Will Go ‘A Lot Deeper’
Rizzoli & Isles fans should anticipate a batch of episodes that go “a lot deeper” into what makes these characters tick.
If you felt season four didn’t reward you with any meaty and meaningful storylines, then you shouldn’t give up hope on the series just yet. According to the folks at Epoch Times, Rizzoli & Isles will return to the digital airwaves on June 17.
Star Sasha Alexander recently sat down with the folks at the Examiner to discuss what’s in store for the characters in season five. Although Rizzoli & Isles producer Jan Nash has quite a few ideas kicking around, she’s not always willing to give the actresses a peak into her creative process.
“We have been trying to pick her brain as much as possible — all the secrets that she has planned — but they don’t give us the whole arc for the entire season. I think we are just going a lot deeper with the characters. I think, all around, her intention from what I am getting is stronger stories in terms of the crimes, but personal stories,” Alexander told the outlet.
She added, “Stories that are really driving these characters together. That is really the unique part of our show is you do have these characters go through these personal and life things in conjunction with the crime. There is a lot more exploring of that.”
Before continuing, it’s worth noting that the final half of this article contains a few spoilers. If you haven’t watched the recent episode yet, then prepare to have a few surprises ruined.
