Mila Kunis: Ashton Kutcher Asked Her Father For Permission to Propose
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are engaged, and it looks like Kutcher took the traditional route and asked Kunis’ father for permission before proposing to her. According to People, an insider said that Ashton went to Mila’s father Mark to ask his permission to ask for her hand in marriage.
“He talked with Mila’s dad around Christmastime,” a Kutcher insider tells People. “He asked for Mark’s blessing to marry her. It was important to Ashton to be respectful and traditional. This is the real thing for him and he wants to do it all right.”
According to an earlier report by The Inquisitr, Mila Kunis was first spotted wearing her engagement ring back at the end of February while out shopping. Ashton and Mila have reportedly been dating since April of 2012. The two even played as a couple while staring in Fox‘s hit TV show That ’70s Show.
Mila Kunis played the bratty little Jackie while Aston Kutcher played the somewhat crazy Kelso in That ’70s Show. The two played a couple for many seasons and while in the show, the couple didn’t end up lasting forever, it would seem like they really were meant to be!
Laura Prepon, another That ’70s Show star, expressed how happy she is for Kunis and Kutcher. “Yeah, I don’t usually comment on my friends’ personal lives,” Prepon told E! News. “But they’re an amazing couple.” Prepon isn’t the only co-star from the show that has expressed their joy for the newly engaged couple.
Kurtwood Smith, who played Red Forman on the show, even expressed how happy he was for Mila and Ashton. “They’re both great people, so I’m happy for them.” Heck, he even suggested that they tie the knot!
“Maybe they should get married,” he said with a laugh. “We’ll all go to the wedding and that could be the reunion. It’ll be a reality show.”
The source close to the couple continued on to tell People that the two are working together to sort out all the wedding plans. “They don’t want to wait,” says the source. “This relationship started on solid ground and everything is working out. They are in it for the long haul, truly.”
So what do you think of Ashton Kutcher asking Mila Kunis’ father for his daughter’s hand in marriage? It would seem that the saying “chivalry is dead” isn’t quite true after all!
