TSA Official Makes Elderly Woman Remove Adult Diaper

How many lawsuits is it going to take before the TSA gets their act together? The newest TSA security checkpoint horror story comes from Florida, where a 95-year-old, wheelchair-bound elderly female all of 105 pounds with end-stage leukemia was forced this week to remove her adult diaper.

According to Jean Weber, her mother was first brought into a glass-partitioned area to be patted down and then moved to a more private room where she was told to remove her adult diaper for inspection.

According to Weber, TSA officials told her to remove her mothers soiled diaper because it was impeding their investigation. Weber removed the diaper but did not have a spare diaper to replace it with, when all was said and done the search took 45 minutes and Weber quickly filed a complaint with the Department of Homeland Security.

A TSA official would not comment on the search but said procedures were “the same for everyone.” If searches are the same for everyone it looks like we all better start soiling ourselves before TSA searches. I would recommend bringing an extra change of clothes to the airport with you if that’s your plan of attack and you don’t have an adult diaper.

Weber should have made TSA officials remove the diaper since they were the one’s performing the search.
