David Guetta Joins Forces With Vassy For Powerful Collaboration
The collaborations must go on for DJ and king of the dance floor David Guetta. Earlier in the year David released a fierce track with Skylar Grey called “Shot Me Down” which The Inquisitr wrote about, and now it looks like he’s returning with yet another powerful collaboration.
This time around David Guetta has decided to release a new track called “Bad” which features the voice of Vassy. The track is said to be an official song which will be used in his follow up to his hit-making album Nothing But The Beat.
The sound is somewhat of a gritty new direction for David Guetta, who is otherwise known for his pop electro beats. His beats always find their way over the speaker at clubs or on top 40 radio. The “Bad” track might signify that Guetta is turning over a new leaf and moving away from commercial Top 40 for a different sound for his upcoming LP.
Even though the new track is definitely a different sound for the DJ, the Australian based singer Vassy adds an addicting hook that club goers and listeners always expect if not need from the DJ. The song is heavily autotuned on the vocals, which is something that Guetta usually stays away from, but for Vassy it works.
David Guetta might be introducing a new sound into the mix of his already impressive catalogue of music, but that doesn’t mean he’s not interested in making hits. On the contrary, this sound is very reminiscent of what DJ Skrillex is putting out right now, which has moved the DJ from clubs, to scoring the soundtrack for the movie Spring Breakers. If the club scene is any indication, there’s definitely room for two dynamic DJs in the industry, because there’s a hunger for this type electro-heavy music.
In addition to his new LP, David Guetta just got done performing at one of the most unique arenas ever. As reported, the DJ performed 424 meters below sea level in Masada in Israel. The special performance was filmed as part of a promotional package for the Dead Sea Rave, which showed Guetta doing his thing. Coming up the DJ also has the Ultra Music Festival in Miami where he will be performing during the weekend of March 28 to the 30. Perhaps the David Guetta will perform his new single “Bad”?
When it comes to the dynamic DJ one can never be too sure.
