L’Wren Scott,49, the girlfriend of Mick Jagger, was found hanging by a scarf in a luxury apartment in Manhattan.
The New York Post, quoting police sources, confirms today (Monday), that Scott committed suicide.
The police found Scott’s body in the eighth-floor apartment situated at 200 11th avenue soon after 10 a.m. following a call to 911 from Scott’s assistant.

Mick Jagger and L’Wren Scott have been dating since 2001. To mark Jagger’s 70th birthday last year, L’Wren posted an old photo on Instagram showing Jagger, aged 21, in swimming trunks.
The significance of the the vintage photo was that it was taken just before The Rolling Stones hit the big time.
Mick Jagger is currently on tour in Australia. A spokesman said the singer was “completely shocked and devastated” by Scott’s death.
L’Wren Scott was not her real name. She was the adopted daughter of Mormon parents, and was raised in a small town in Utah, when she was known as Luann Bambrough.
Fashion photographer Bruce Weber discovered her as a teenager and gave her the new name. She started her career as a model for Chanel and Thierry Mugler, before becoming a stylist for celebrities.
L’Wren later branched out into design. Some of her most famous creations have been worn by Madonna, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Cambell, Kate Moss, Sara Jessica Parker and, even, Michelle Obama.
As with all high profile celebrity deaths, there are at this stage, more questions than answers.
For the moment, the circumstances of L’Wren Scott’s alleged suicide are still a mystery.
