Danica Patrick;s crash during a pit stop and a practice run my have NASCAR fans shaking their heads, but what do the drivers really really think about her?
In a related report by The Inquisitr , Patrick’s crash at the Bristol Motor Speedway came just three minutes into practice. She lost control during a turn and slammed into Parker Kilgerman, causing both to end up limping back to the garage. This was actually almost nothing in comparison to the thirteen-car wreck at the Daytona 500 which caused her to place 40th.
The most recent incident involving Patrick was actually in the pit stop. When her team finished prepping her car she mashed the gas so hard the rear of her car began to spin out of control. Clint Bowyer’s vehicle also happened to be in the pit, and then she crashed into the right side despite trying to hit the brakes. Fortunately, the pit crew was on the left side of Bowyer’s car so no one was injured. Still, it could be argued there was no harm done since Bowyer finished 15th, and Patrick finished 18th.
Richard Petty famously criticized Danica Patrick openly this year, saying the female driver was essentially a distraction. When other NASCAR drivers were asked about they think about Patrick, they generally tended to be more politically correct than negative. So, recently a NASCAR fan compiled videos of the drivers talking to each other over the radio. They made jokes about Danica Patrick’s boyfriend, her driving skill (or lack thereof), and even often cursed her out:
A candid moment with Clint Bowyer has him saying, “First thing we got do is get away from this lunatic behind us.” Greg Bible jokes, “Somebody needs to tell Danica she can go straight forward.” There was even a time when Danica wrecked her own boyfriend and everyone was talking about the forthcoming lover’s quarrel that might end up on TMZ .
There’s also drivers who dropped a series of expletives, but I’ll let you check out the video to hear those. Of course, in all fairness, when these guys are in the middle of a race, they’re more likely to get heated emotionally and say things they’re unlikely to mention in public.
NASCAR fans, what do you really think about Danica Patrick?
