Street Fighter’s Decapre character is the latest addition to the Ultra Street Fighter 4 roster. Capcom has long teased teased this Ultra Street Fighter 4 release date but now we’re getting a taste of what’s to come.
In a related report by The Inquisitr , besides Decapre, Ultra Street Fighter 4 is due to hit after June 2014 , and includes characters from Street Fighter III , Street Fighter Alpha , and Street Fighter X Tekken .
While technically a new addition to Street Fighter, Decapre can also be said to be an amalgam of other characters. She’s apparently a clone of a M. Bison doll and the MI6 spy Cammy. She also uses claw techniques and wears a mask like Vega, but the mask is not intended to protect her pretty face. Instead, the mask is said to hide a giant burn marring her face.
But while the back story of Street Fighter’s Decapre is a tad interesting I’m sure most gamers just want to know how the character plays. It’s said Decapre is more of an offensive character and offers “quick and elusive scramble moves as well as her psycho power infused attacks.” But Capcom’s Peter Rosas says Cammy players will lover this new character:
“A lot of her basic attacks are the same [as Cammy’s], much like how a lot of Ryu’s attacks are the same as Evil Ryu’s, and a lot of Oni’s attacks are the same as Akuma’s. There are a lot of similarities there. But what really differentiates them are the Ultras, the usage of the special moves, and some of their combos.”
Street Fighter’s Decapre character brings the USF4 roster up to 44. Hugo, Elena, Rolento, and Poison are the other new choices alongside Street Fighter’s Decapre. Apparently, anyone who already owns Super Street Fighter 4 for PS3 or Xbox 360 can add these new fighters by grabbing the paid Ultra Street Fighter 4 DLC, and the $14.99 update will also fix some balance issues with existing characters. But the full $39.99 release for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 won’t be out until August 2014.
