Lauren Conrad, Kyle Howard Part Ways
Former reality TV star turned Forbes columnist, Lauren Conrad is single.
After three years of dating, 25-year-old Conrad and 33-year-old Kyle Howard have called it quits, according to People Magazine.
Although most of her life — including her relationships — has been under the scrutiny in both reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and its spin-off series, The Hills, Lauren and Kyle kept their relationship low-key.
“By the time I had met Kyle, I had already perfected my ‘double life,’” Conrad told Seventeen magazine in an interview last year. “There was my TV life and my real life.”
Prior to their split, things appeared to be smooth sailing between the couple, with engagement rumors even sparking earlier in the year. Those rumors, however, were quickly shot down by Conrad’s rep who said, “This is totally false.”
At this time, the cause of the break up is unknown.
Despite having boy trouble, the budding author is having great success with her writing career. Having already penned best sellers, L.A. Candy — the self inspired story of a young woman who moves to Los Angeles to become the star of a reality show — and Lauren Conrad Style, Lauren recently made another three-book deal with publisher HarperCollins.
The books, titled The Fame Game, will be a spin-off series of the L.A. Candy trilogy and will follow character Madison Parker.
The first of the three books will be released in 2012.
