Britney Spears Spending $6 Million To Get Married Again?

Britney Spears at the age of 32 is seriously contemplating getting married for the third time.

Albert Einstein’s oft quoted definition of insanity is: ” doing the same thing over and over again – and expecting a different result.”

Britney’s first try at marriage in 2004 to Jason Allen Alexander, ended after 55 hours, earning it an honorable mention in the Guinness Book of World records.

The marriage was annulled on the basis that Britney “lacked understanding of her actions”.

Her second marriage to actor Kevin Federline lasted all of three years, during which time they managed to produce two children.

Part of the divorce settlement was that the couple would have joint custody of the children. But, in January 2008, Spears refused to relinquish custody of her sons to Federline.

Britney was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after police found that he appeared to be under the influence of an illicit substance. The following day, her visitation rights were suspended at an emergency court hearing, and Federline was given sole physical and legal custody of the children.

Britney was committed to the psychiatric ward of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and put on 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold. The court then placed her under temporary conservatorship of her father James Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet, giving them complete control of her assets.

Possibly on the basis of ” third time lucky,” Britney has been dating legal professional David Lucado for a year now. Radar Online claims to have inside information that David is ready to propose any day now:

“He is extremely serious about Britney and this is the happiest she has been in a very long time. She wants to start a family with him and has expressed special interest in having a little girl. Britney’s parents love David and think they are a perfect match.”

And the sound of wedding bells in the Spear’s family is not confined to Britney. Her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, just tied the knot with long time partner James Watson on Friday.

A further report from Radar Online says that Britney has applied to the court to take $6 million from her assets, which it is assumed has some connection to her forthcoming marriage. On Tuesday, the court surprisingly agreed.

It seems that Britney wants an elaborate – and expensive – wedding, According to a source:

“Britney wants to get as much attention and money for pictures with her third wedding as she did for her second, which is why she is considering reaching out to Elvis’ daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, to ask if she can be married in the Graceland Estate in Memphis, Tennessee.”
