Lady Gaga Brings Vomit Painter To Doritos-Sponsored Show At SXSW [Photo]
Leave it Lady Gaga to bring a vomit painter on-stage during her performance at SXSW.
It’s worth pointing out that the “Poker Face” singer’s appearance at the annual music and film festival was officially sponsored by Doritos. When you think about the popular snack food, chances are you don’t want the image of a woman vomiting green fluid all over Lady Gaga dancing in front of your mind’s eye.
According to the folks at Channel 24, Lady Gaga brought friend and self-proclaimed “vomit painter” Millie Brown on-stage during her stint at Stubb’s BBQ in Austin, Texas. After drinking a neon green substance from a bottle, Brown forced herself to vomit the aforementioned fluid all over Gaga while she pounded away on a set of drums. No, really.
Here’s a pretty disgusting GIF of Brown and Mother Monster in action.
Although Lady Gaga asked fans to put away their phones during the show, apparently this didn’t stop a few folks from snapping shots and taking video of her performance at SXSW. Images of the singer riding a mechanical bull and dangling from a spit inevitably found their way onto social media.
“Do me a favor and don’t take my f***ing picture, put your phone down. The best thing about South By is I see so many people just feeling music. Close your eyes, f*** your cell phone — f*** your friends instead!” she said.
As you can see, a few people didn’t listen to Lady Gaga.

In addition bringing S&M eroticism to Stubb’s BBQ — something patrons probably don’t get on a regular basis — Lady Gaga also took a moment to educate folks on the current state of the music industry. Those who are looking to release their own tunes no longer need a corporate assistance, she explained.
“You don’t need a f***ing record label, you don’t need a company! You are the spirit of every artist! Let’s f***ing celebrate! This is the moment now! I won’t play by your f***ing rule! This is our world!” she shouted from the stage. As Billboard points out, the Doritos logo was clearly visible during her brief rant about getting help from big corporations.
The next time you rip into a bag of delicious Cool Ranch Doritos, take a moment to recall Lady Gaga and her encounter with a vomit painter at SXSW. And remember: You don’t need a record label or corporate sponsorship to make an album, though it certainly makes life easier.
