Apple on Friday filed yet another lawsuit against mobile and tablet competitor Samsung, claiming that the company’s ‘Galaxy’ line of devices “slavishly” copy Apple’s own iPhone and iPad gadgets.
The company’s have been at each others throats since May when Apple demanded to see the blueprint for Samsung’s mobile and tablet devices and Samsung shot back, requesting to see iPad 3 and iPhone 5 devices before their release. Samsung’s request was denied and Apple appears to be walking on thin ice with their motion.
Samsung has filed suits of their own against Apple in South Korea, Germany and Japan.
An Apple rep in North Korea speaking with Reuters stated:
“It is no coincidence that Samsung’s latest products look a lot like the iPhone and iPad from the shape of the hardware to the user interface and even the packaging.”
Last week a judge proposed an out-of-court settlement between the two company’s and both firms top executives are said to be in litigation. This is like Qualcomm vs. Nokia all over again.
