Chelsea Handler Rips Piers Morgan: “Well, Maybe That’s Why Your Job Is Coming To An End” [VIDEO]
Chelsea Handler is not known for keeping a civil tongue. The comedian and host of E!’s Chelsea Lately, has a history of telling it the way that it is. According to CNN, this is a woman who expressed the following:
- The importance of sleeping around with people you work with.
- Called 50 Shades of Grey poorly written and trash.
- Called Sarah Palin a person who is “not serious”.
Then if you want even more of her brutal honesty, read her books. Personally, I read My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One Night Stands, Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. Every book exposed, both Chelsea herself along with people she knew, in ways that would be considered either humiliating or embarrassing.
For Piers Morgan, he got a taste of Chelsea’s ability to not hold back any of her punches. As reported earlier here on The Inquisitr, Piers’s show, Piers Morgan Live, has been cancelled, but Piers is still holding on strong. That is until Handler was invited on his show as a guest.
By what the Washington Post reads, Chelsea expressed some indignation at the host’s conduct during commercial break. While chatting with Morgan, she learned Piers pays attention to his cell phone more than to his guests. In response, Chelsea said the following back on air:
In the middle of the commercial break, I want your viewers to know. I mean, they must know because they’re probably following you on Twitter. I mean, you can’t even pay attention for 60 seconds. You’re a terrible interviewer.
Morgan could have apologized for ignoring his guest. However, he thought he could retaliate intelligently, or at least sarcastically…which is not very easy to do against Chelsea Handler. His retort was simply the following:
Well, you just weren’t keeping my attention
Handler, however, wasn’t going to take the retaliation lying down as she fired back:
“That’s not my problem…this is your show. You have to pay attention to the guests that you invited on your show…it doesn’t matter how interesting I am. You signed up for this show.”
“Well, maybe that’s why your job is coming to an end.”
That was the final nail in the coffin for Morgan. Trying to garner some of his dignity back, Piers went back to traditional interviewing. He used the familiar question of asking Handler the prospect of reliving one hour of her life. Chelsea added another nail to the coffin just for good measure by stating:
It would be spending this hour differently.
